I'm not. I scroll and there they are. Since much of my life and interests are entertainment related, this is something that naturally shows up.

And again, they don't bother me. Is this another classic FI brain melt where nobody can understand a simple point because they're frothing at the mouth to try to create yet another dumb narrative?

So once again, we find out that your algorithm is designed to pump out ragebait. The only people reposting that stuff are those who are trying to fuel outrage because they know that Trudeau puts people on tilt. Literally no one else cares.

I think you're projecting way too much here mate. He's not with her for the attention, why he's with her seems pretty obvious tbh. Shit, there's a pretty good argument that she's getting attention in places she otherwise wouldn't have (she sure looked happy trailing him at Davos where he's the rockstar and not her) I doubt his kids care overmuch, they've seen him in public their entire lives. This is a pretty natural extension of that. He was going to remain a public figure regardless of who he dated.

Fwiw, I don't think this is a mid life crisis, by most accounts he's always been this dude. Zero qualms with him being and acting like a regular dude and not like he's constantly worried about what his corporate sponsors would think if he had them.

I don't know of any firestorm of media attention to this non-event. It must be pretty important in Canada. It's nothing here.

He'll always be a public figure. I don't think his kids ever saw him parading around with a celebrity and putting his personal life all over socials. I legit don't care about this nothing pairing. All I said is that it's kind of embarrassing for a guy his age and his background to be doing this stuff publicly. And Katy Perry is basically in the category of Gaga, Britney, Miley - trashy girls. If you want to have some fun, do it quietly and move on.

You're pushing your view of why someone would date Katie Perry, and how you would feel if you were Trudeau's kids seeing this onto Trudeau and his kids. But without their frame of references and life experiences that come from being Justin Trudeau and his children, where all of this is entirely normal to them because their lives have always been this way.

His kids are used to political/professional driven attention. This is personal. He left the marriage and this can't be fun for the kids to experience. Sure, fine, it wouldn't be fun for me to experience if I were them. If they're built differently, then good for them. Maybe they love it.

Everyone's different, so I wouldn't want to be coupling up with some trashy girl publicly, even if she's rich and famous. I saw some video of the two of them talking in the car, where she was just talking nonsense, and it's painful to see him sit there and entertain these conversations. A guy who used to be a world leader. I know it's Katy Perry, so I get why he's doing it, but it is cringe. I'd much rather get the mega hot non-famous girl and still keep my class intact. Or, if dabbling in the Hollywood pool, try to come out with someone better than that, since there are a lot.
 
It's especially perfect because she's just as annoying and obnoxious as Trudeau, so now you have people enraged and trying to dictate how they should be living. All while he's just living his best life, not giving a single fuck about what anyone thinks.

I'm no Trudeau expert and haven't consumed as much of him as you guys have, but he doesn't strike me as so annoying and obnoxious. He comes across as a bit of a douchebag, moreso since he's been with her, but he has a brain, can carry on a normal conversation. Katy is just such an airhead and I don't think she's all that hot anyway. What is all this rage you keep referring to though? What are people over there upset about?

I don't have any specific insight, I just don't see the difference between public presence and public presence. It was always an invasion into your personal life whatever their level of comfort is with it.

There is an entire subset of Canadians who are deeply fucking enraged by him literally doing anything. Check the comment section on any of those posts you get on your feed and you will see the deep visceral reaction he draws out of a....certain subset....of Canadians.

As that certain subset tend to be the most useless and insufferable among us, some of us take great joy from things that certain subset reacts angrily to.
