Not sunny and not a data nerd. More interested to see if he's surrounded by math nerds.

Management all fits together if you piece together lawyer to deal with media, negotiate contracts, understand the cba and have that guy depend on a data centric agm that manages the analytics department. That's the sweet spot of shared risk.
 
Plus Evan Gold is a born and raised mid 40s Toronto Jew lawyer that moved to the US to work. Sounds more than a little familiar but can't put my finger on why.

Not as nutty as Tortorella, and not as sexy a name like Debour.

Any one think he might be a good choice to replace Berube.

I cant imagine anyone does, no.

The name they should go for is David Carle.
 
So Ryan Martin was hired as Wings AGM in 2010 and was there until 2021, during which time they went from one of the best run organizations ever to literal trash.

He went to the rangers in 2021 when they were a contending team that went to the final 4 in 2 of 3 years and over 5 seasons saw them turn into trash and rebuild twice.

The Wolfpack have been a sub.500 team with him as GM.

Meanwhile the Bruins are the Bruins and Gold has a .698 pts% in 3 years with the Providence Bruins.

To be honest I think they just like Gold because they want to do what the Bruins did this year but that may work out for us.
