If Gio will do a cheap 1-2 year spezza type deal than it’s hard to not think about getting some value on Muzzin in a deal. Reilly, Gio, Sandin making the left side isn’t bad and can use the deadline of upgrades are needed or available.

I still wish he had taken SJ's offer. 4 years in, zero playoff round wins and a 41% xG 6 point in 7 game effort is the closest he's come to showing up when it's counted. 14 points in 20 playoff games as a Leaf (57 point pace).

Honestly nonsense. JT did a lot more in the back half of the series than any other skater on the Leafs. Including tonight if not for Holl’s fatal unforced error.
And in any event, putting a C on one guy versus the other isn’t the secret to unlocking playoff success any more than having two GDTs is.

He was as good as we needed him to be this series. He basically brought us back from the brink and singlehandedly won us game 6, except of course we couldn’t hold the lead as usual.
Did Matty come close to doing that in either of the last games? Tavares actually acted like the C in the clutch games. Matty did not.
