Jordan Eberle won him a WJC and he's been riding it ever since. Former phenom ruined by lack of fast twitch muscle fibers and afraid of face washes.
Led us to the game 5 win, set us up for the series win in game 6. Scored what would’ve been the tying goal in game 7. What a useless bitch. I wish Matty was as much a bitch the last three games. We’d be moving on to Florida.JT is a bitch. Accept it.

Yes, Eberle has been carrying him his whole career. Let’s not let the alcohol do the typing tonight.Jordan Eberle won him a WJC and he's been riding it ever since. Former phenom ruined by lack of fast twitch muscle fibers and afraid of face washes.
Go work on your reading comp.So glad he led us to game 5 glory.
He’s a guy who stepped up and did exactly what was expected of him. I’m not praising him. He delivered as our 2C, but he’s the scapegoat somehow. No issues whatsoever with the 1C.You're a fanboy. He's a slow, overpaid 2C. Get off his jock.
You don’t need any dumb fucking x chart to tell you Tavares was one of our best players overall in the series. He had 6 points in 7 games, most of them in the last 3 games, and had a goal called back. Gee I’m sorry he couldn’t deliver 12 points in 7 like Matty and Marner did. Thank goodness for xgass.xG actually does a pretty good job of analyzing the series for us

1st line did a lot of pimping and was very good.
The middle 6 got shuffled around a bunch and was a mixed bag. Kerfoot was good until game 6, Nylander was mercurial but produced. Tavares was ass aside from game 6 and our usual 3rd line was terrible other than Kampf, the 4th line other than Spezza unplayable.
We had a lot of guys who just weren't going consistently.

-Brodie and Muzzin were very good in heavy lifting
-Gio/Holl were very good
-Rielly was mercurial, like the blueline's Willy to a degree. Boosh was fucking terrible.
-Lilly was bad and got the quick hook after 2 games we were pretty ass in analytically.
Amazing how the great “real” captain always escapes criticism despite coming up empty in every single clutch game, but the 2C is somehow the real problem. Jesus.

I love Matty too. But the way he gets away with no criticism is ridiculous. If there was no Tavares on the team and this happened, you’d be talking about Nylander. If he wasn’t around, you’d be ragging on overpaid Marner. Then Campbell, then Rielly. You would never actually get to Matthews. I’m not saying he sucks or he should go, but he has NOT delivered an elite performance in any of the last 5 elimination games. Throw the xgbullshit out the window. This is a fact. If you just can’t admit it, it’s okay. I don’t want it to be true either and next year at this time I’ll be hoping “this is the year” yet again. But it doesn’t look like it’s happening without a take the game over performance from our best player, or second best player even, both of whom are making the same $11m as your constant obsession. You realize Auston had a goal in game 6 and then the primary assist on the only goal we scored tonight, right? How is that coming up empty? 1G, 1 Primary Apple in 2 games, along with possession dominance.
Playoffs since JT signed: 20 games, 7G, 7A.
Auston over that same time period: 25 games, 12 G, 14A
“Game 6 may have been the best game McDavid has played in his NHL career, as he put this team on his back in an elimination game on the road.
Back at home in Game 7, McDavid set up Cody Ceci for the first goal at 13:15 of the second period, then drove the knife deep into the Kings’ hearts with a wild solo effort that made the score 2-0 with less than four minutes to play.
In all, he was in on five of the six goals Edmonton scored in Games 6 and 7. Sure, he’s known for five- and six-point nights, but in these two games, his all-around game has been Crosby-like, his utter dominance Gretzkian.”
He's a functional NHL goalie. Would you prefer if they had 0 of those? The upgrade you want is on Mrazek of course. Good luck finding upgrades on both.sign Jack?
any particular reason why...?
