Interesting assertion. But I dunno. After those three, who is "generational". Aguero? RVP? They'd be the equivalents of Bergkamp and Baggio... and not at all in the same league as Zizou or Brazilian Ronaldo.

I think the biggest thing is the addition of instant media, you can all the highlights a lot more easily...I was just echoing an assertion made on twitter....hence "might".

I don't watch much soccer, but his skill level is off the charts. I don't know how consistent he is in club football, but some of the goals he scores I doubt more than a handful of players would even attempt.

Perhaps generational was too strong a word, but its a great era of football.
