Leafs/Habs/Sens 2014-15

I don't understand all this anger around the Sens ticket plan - if you are a Habs fan (outside of Ottawa-Gatineau) and want to goto a playoff game just drive to Montreal. It's 1.5 hours.

I don't think anyone is angry. I think they like to make fun of it.

Fair enough. Laugh all you want - but I laugh at you for not being able to afford tickets to your home team.

To be clear... I don't give a shit either way.

I've never been a "my team has more fans than your team" guy. Habs have lots of fan? Big deal. I cheer for the Habs, not their fans.

And do be clear, I didn't mean "you" as in you in particular.

Just Habs fans in general. You want to goto a game? Goto Montreal.

It's hilarious you're defending the plan. It's not a problem for Habs fans - who it screws over are Sens fans. How far is Sens area? Does Kingston count? What about the Sens fans in Montreal who might have been interested in taking a trip back to the "motherland" to take in playoff action?

Face it - it's a bad thing for the franchise if they're forced to put in artificial rules to prevent getting overrun. It's the nature of the beast I guess, being saddled between the 2 franchises with the most history, and with a stadium that's barely closer if you live in downtown Ottawa or downtown Montreal.

Really not to worried about that.

Sentence one is kind of irrelevant when followed with sentence two.

It's just is what it is. We are stuck between two of the oldest and most popular franchises in the league. So we're doing what we can to ensure tickets goto Sens fans in the city.

But you don't sell out playoff games not involving the Leafs or Habs. A few years back you couldn't sell out game 7 of the conference finals against the Devils. That's beyond pathetic. And if your season ticket base is small doesn't that indicate that you have no fans, or at least not enough to justify having a franchise? No Canadian team should ever have trouble selling tickets but the Sens have been touch and go since Day One. Do you people even care that you have a team? Because the only time that arena isn't an 18000 seat mausoleum is when the Habs or Leafs are in town. It seems that the only people who really care that there's a team in Ottawa are Habs and Leafs fans who can't travel to Montreal or Toronto to see games.
By a few years, he must have meant 12.

Just alittle snipit of what Habsy wants Sens fans here to debate with on the Habs board.

Yeah its cheaper to go to games in Montreal. There are far more cheap sections in the Bell Center or whatever they're calling it these days.

I saw the Boston / Montreal playoff game there years ago...the Koivu comeback game and it cost like $70.

Can't believe all the bitching over this.

Just wait until the games start and we have faceoffs on the wrong side of the goalie.

Centre Bell. It's only had two names in 20 years, unlike your little pillbox in Kanata.

He never said you had to debate, just you were free to post there. If you choose not to, your loss is our gain.

If you would prefer to discuss a Canadiens-Senators series on the Leaf board, more power to you.

Bell Centre.

We're English, you self-righteous twat.

Cool, been called a **** and a twat by the same douche on the same day. Your bullying tactics of trying to isolate a poster and getting the rest to gang up on him/her might work re Blacksheep but they won't work on me. You simply put are a detestable human being and watching you get angry at everything is quite funny while at the same time pitiful.

Playoff tickets have always been exclusive in nature. First buyers are always season ticket holders. Second buyers are those that purchase a package for next year, and then the ones that are left over are priced higher than a regular season ticket would be.

What good fortune for the Euge. Playoff revenue coming up before a boatload of RFA's need to be signed.

Is your internal cap still 56 million?
