Habs trade PK Subban to Predators for Shea Weber

The fact that Therrien is still dictating how players play on this team makes my skin crawl.

There is no way that Weber has a good offensive season using Therrien's "system."

that is not what he said at all

you assumed

Yeah it was extremely obviously that he was upset that Therrien was still the coach, not that the coach tells players what to do.

.

with Devils to continue his 30+ goal pace with them

playing with Taylor Halll

Even if DSP does nothing with New Jersey, it just sucks that you trade a player like that for someone EVERYONE knew had limited potential....the usual excuse will be that that was the best offer Bergevin had

agreed

I also think he picked up Matteau because of the French last name. It is no coincidence that we picked him up only a couple of weeks after the "we lost with no French guys in the lineup" article in the media.

This full page ad in today's Gazoo, that cost $20K, was supposedly posted by a season ticket subscriber who claims that he will not be using his tickets this season except for the game against Nashville because he's upset that PK was traded.

If this so-called "fan" was being genuine, he would have done two things: first, he would have CANCELLED his tickets, not just refused to use them. But of course if he cancels them he goes to the end of the waiting list and will be dead for 50 years before his name comes up again. So he's reserving the right to change his mind. The second thing he could have done was use his real name so that someone could verify that he actually isn't using his tickets (or selling them, which is against club policy and would result in the team cancelling his subscription)

This, to me, is nothing more than a man-child with more money than brains having a public temper tantrum. And as soon as the Habs win three in a row you know that this clown will be back in his seat cheering like nothing happened.

I'm more apt to believe that PK himself paid for this ad than I am to believe that this fan will actually stay away.

The club says he cannot sell his tickets? Lord knows, whenever I have gone to Montreal, I have ended up in someone's season tickets seats and Lord knows I paid for the seats...

Of course they sell them but they do it on the down low. The clubs prefer that subscribers not re-sell their tickets unless it's through the team's own re-sale website.
