OT: American Politics

Rural America was already Republican country.

Where Trump gained over previous Republicans was in the rust belt. Basically, they fell for his nonsense about bringing manufacturing jobs back in just enough numbers to swing the election.

Sure, but blue collar Dems in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania broke for him in a big way. Why do you think that is? You don’t fall for the millions of racists crap do you?

Trump is a full-on incompetent loon, an arse-licker of the dictators he wishes he could be...but yeah, something something Derangement Syndrome because people laugh at what cake he eats, his mini hands, covfefe, invisible fighter planes, trips to the golf resort while holding the country hostage over his ****ing wall....etc etc

that's not derangement man. it's people trying to cope with life in the Orange Age.

Interesting word use there. Cope.

He’s broken people man and I just don’t get it.

You're right.

Your incessant belief that he has by no means colluded with Russia despite a bevy of indictments at any point tells me how much you don't defend him. Using words like "libtard" and Trump Derangement Syndrome tells me how little you defend him. Of course you will come back and say both sides are an issue and that Washington is broken. Rinse and repeat.

I think I finally get it. Some of you think that I’m talking about you personally. You’re upset over Trump and think I’m saying you don’t have a right to be or you’re deranged if you are.

Interesting.

Breakdown the indictments.

You guys are just lost. It’s amazing.

Also, I’ve long had a disdain of the Dems, pretending that disdain is in defense of Trump is moronic. I’m done with you.

Cheers

You're right, everybody in his inner circle is getting arrested and he knew nothing about it.

That makes more sense than the alternative.

And... that he asked Whittaker to put a Trump supporter in charge of the Cohen investigation.

Not sure how anyone can sit there with a straight face and say this isn’t obstruction of justice. But I’m sure they’ll try.

Yes and no.

Do I think that they were all racists? No. Do I think that outright racism was a dealbreaker for them though? Clearly not. There was a group of grossly misinformed people who bought what he was selling. He was selling lies and they were willing consumers of those lies.

Why do I think they broke for him? Because he was the only candidate willing to talk about wealth inequality, even if it did it poorly and prescribed pure lies as the solution.

Agreed. He knew exactly what they wanted to hear.

Now he has to convince them he delivered. The scary part is a good number will believe him.

They better cuz Socialism will turn the US into Venezuela.

Lol. Yeah I'm sure the GOP will run that broken record to the ground to try to save their ass. I don't think it will work this time. Trump is too much to overcome.

Bernie needs to stop. The field is too big and too strong.

Senator Bernie Sanders, the self-described democratic socialist who gained a national following when he challenged Hillary Clinton for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, raised $3.3 million on Tuesday from 120,000 individual donors in the first 10 hours after announcing another White House run, the Associated Press reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

By end of day, Sanders raised more than $4 million from almost 150,000 individual donors, making him by far the top fundraiser among Democratic contenders on day one of their presidential bids.

Let's wait if Biden decides to Run. If he does, he would probably the favorite to win the Dems race.

It will be Funny to see Trump hates for Obama and trying to destroy their accomplishment and taking self credit for what was clearly the results of Obama's admistration and having Biden there just point at facts and charts showing it all started with them. The only effect Trump had on the US Economy was the gigantic raise of US deficits. Then again, this is a factual element of every Republican gouverment for the last what, 30 years?

The best thing about either Biden or Bernie is that neither of them will provide canned "politician" responses to Trump's nonsense. Hillary made two major communication mistakes in the general imo. First and most important is that she refused to speak to income inequality. Second though, and probably important enough that it could have swayed the election, was that she sounded like a politician when people were asking for something else to vote for. So while she absolutely stood on national TV and punched trump in the mouth with the Russia stuff, it was too polished, too impersonal. Biden would toy with him (his dismantling of Ryan was incredible) and Bernie would just run him over with language directed right at his base.
