Campbell needs at least 3.7 M I think. His record of availability might make that too steep for Toronto
 
Bets on Spezza signing on as a coach or some sort? Does he wait to see other signing and if there’s a spot on the ice for him or does he maybe think winning a cup with the team as a coach is good enough?

he kinda stands out to me as the obvious odd man out. especially cause none of them can play the right side.

It is a long season and theoretically you could load manage muzzin and Gio. But putting on my agent hat, I'm not too horned up if I'm Raz's camp.

I do wish we trade Muzzin....even if it opens up cap space for a UFA right D. Selling on Sandin is not the smart move.

You have in Ufa...Josh Manson, Justin Schultz, Collin Miller, Connor Murray, Erik gudbranson, Justin Braun, Jan Ruuta, Joshua brown,....those are all 6'2 and up defenseman that shoot right available. There are others.

Hell maybe pk for 800k just to have as an extra.

That'd be my play.
 
I'm so conflicted on Muzz. Keeping him makes sense if you wanna run that d corps back and see the best shutdown pair we've seen in Toronto in 20 years stick together.

But if you can flip him and use his $$$ on a legit 2c maybe that's more important and worth downgrading the d over. But the 2c has to be a real person and available. Idk who that would be. Can't just do it just to do it and settle on a mediocre player.

You'd probably look at something like this if you trade Muzz:

Rielly - Brodie
Sandin - Liljegren
Giordano - Holl

Questionable but certainly not bad. But imo you use that $$$ on a good solid all around center, not another d. A good defensive center may have stronger defensive impacts defensively than adding another d + you can add to your offensive depth too.

And then you've got this up front if you trade Kerf as well:

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Tavares-XXXXX-Nylander
Engvall-Kampf-ELC/cheap UFA
Robertson-ELC/UFA-Kase
