I actually liked tavares response to marner saying he felt the fan thing went too far.

Matthews let him take the response and I thought he hit it out of the park
 
I don’t know what that has to do with Marner, but I do know Marner is going to regret this move so much and so very soon.

In the end, some divine force must have possessed him and caused him to make this insane decision, because without it, McDavid wouldn’t even be a possibility. And McDavid’s dragging over the extension might be directly tied to Marner’s departure. If the potential cap space wasn’t opened up by that, maybe McDavid would’ve already extended.

Babs fucked that kid up and his inability to deal with it spiralled him and destroyed his leaf career. I want to see the after-school special.
 
Thing is, he was one of the best players, many nights the best player, so as fucked up of a person in the room as he might’ve been, he had too much power and influence for anyone to have relegated him to the social sidelines, so he remained in the in crowd the whole time. But his dry hair wet spit incident may have been enough to finally cross the line and change things, and running away is always easier than fixing things, so that was that.

Nahh. I’d say Mitch being fucked up is partly inherent and partly due to his dad. Anything Babpenis did contributed less than 1% to Mitch’s issues.

I’m also coming around to the viewpoint that Babcock probably tried his stupid “list your laziest teammates” exercise a whole bunch of times, but Mitch the bitch was the first guy who was dumb, wussy and shitty enough to fall for it and rat out his teammates.
 
McMann with the opportunity. Not shocking because he fits there nicely if he's playing well.

And Cowan gets a look on a line he could legitimately make, too, and fits his skillset. Though Domi on that 3rd line makes some sense too.

But Cowan's in tough to make it I think.

Danson goes back to junior and replaced by Thrun or Myers.


and if we don't trade anyone then add Cowan, Pezzetta go down here too. There's some other AHL vet forwards that have no chance and no future that aren't in these lineups and just seem like auto-marlies, like Shaw.
