Yeah, Ferris showed himself to be a total enabling asshole. Maybe worse than enabling. Was he egging Mitch on the whole time to make him think he had it so bad in TO and that the grass was so much greener in Vegas? He didn't need to do much since Paul was doing all the heavy lifting, but if Ferris was supposed to be the rep responsible for guiding the client to the best decision, it sure doesn't sound like he was unconflicted.

From all indications, Ferris was the one smarting over having been deprived commissions on the bonuses, maybe even moreso than Marner on getting the actual bonuses. Either way, fuck all of them. The puppetmasters and the imbecilic and immature puppet.

Mitch is also very far and away his biggest meal ticket too. And unless there’s a major addition to his client list, that’s not about to change anytime soon.

And Ferris didn’t even do great by him either. Locked him into a max-term classic Vegas discount deal right before the salary cap blew up.

Its a self perpetuating cycle between Marner, his Dad, his agent, and the Toronto media.

All four parties have an axe to grind with the Leafs. Marner needs his validation, Paul needs to be relevant, Ferris needs his publicity, and the media needs their clicks. Not to mention every other NHL fanbase and idiot ex-NHL podcasters that eat this shit up. A perfect storm in a quiet summer.
