If the Habs & Preds played in the cup final....who are you cheering for?
Habs. Habs first, preds second, everything else.

You cant really judge a fan base by posts in GDTYes, you probably did. It's kind of your job though.
But you know who I speak of, some of them here, some of them over at the Habs forum. They get no grief for ditching the Habs or leafs for other sports. I only like hockey. I hate baseball basketball and nfl football. So when I do like a lot of other and watch a different team I don't exactly have another sport to go to.
what do you call it?Yes. If my club was a consistent 100 point club, and went into this year expecting to be a 100 point club and as soon as shit got tough, they bailed completely and watched next to nothing in the 2nd half of the season. That's absolutely a casual fan.
If my club has been floating somewhere between bad and tragic for 10 years, and 9.5 years in, people who have otherwise stuck through 9.5 years of bullshit started to pay less attention until they see some light at the end of the tunnel....I have a hard time calling that casual. Because it's not casual.
GDT alone. No. But don't lie to me count, you know many in the Habs forum who talk about how they haven't watched more than 3-5 games since the outdoor game and have almost gloated about watching more basketball games and baseball games than Habs games this year. You cant really judge a fan base by posts in GDT
They are probably full of it too given they all knew what happened in every game.

Abused spouses.
What would you call it?Not really a Preds fan then, no?
What would you call it?
Ya, no.
If you're not a hard core fan then you're a casual. Your teams three year run at being shitty has just made a lot of casuals.
Pretty sure I just did call it.
You have a whole bag of stupid ways of looking at things.
Sorry if abused spouses isn't a hockey term I'll accept.
Hardcore fan/die hard fan
Casual fan
Bandwagon fan.
Abused spouse fan? **** that shit.
I have a equal amount of preds and Habs merchandise, split my attention between two different forum boards for the two teams, split my games 75/25 to 50/50 depending on how bad the Habs are doing (all things being equal, Habs 75 preds 25) but sure, if I'm not a fan I'm not a fan. Whatever you say
It was pretty clearly a joke....
What would you call it? It takes a die hard fan to put up with nearly a decade of bullshit before interest temporarily wanes.
Fine. I'm a Habs fan who will enjoy this preds playoff run. Whatever. The only reason I'm going down this labeling route is because people like to look down on those who cheer another nhl team while giving a pass to those who abandon their team. But want the Habs to win the cup.
You're a Habs fan. Whichever team you want to win, is the team you're a fan of it. It's a really simple concept when you slice through all this pseudo fan bullshit you've constructed to make yourself feel better.
Die Hard fans don't let interest wane. Also, you guys made the postseason 3 years ago. 3 years removed from the postseason and hardcore fans drop off? Don't think so. There are guys here who have still watched every game. They are hardcore fans.
