So you sign up and then get called?Pretty sure group 4 starts the 24th but I think you can be called in earlier.. if people miss appointments or the like.

I think they moved up the timeline for group 4 to tomorrow. That’s how I was able to get my appointment at the Greensboro FEMA site for Saturday.Pretty sure group 4 starts the 24th but I think you can be called in earlier.. if people miss appointments or the like.
I think the Dunn site is taking all comers, regardless of group. A neighbor’s friend walked in and got a shot.So you sign up and then get called?

Oxford seems to be a popular spot, the Walgreen’s is easily accessed from exit 204 off I-85.Another good source is the Walgreen’s app if you’re looking for a spot. You plug in a location and it lets you know if shots are available in that area. Pro Tip: look for obscure areas if you strike out locally.
OK, so some of the rural providers like Dunn Health Services in Harnett County get their supply based on population but don;t have enough people in the current designated group to fill their slots so they open up to all comers. IIRC the clinic in Dunn is walkup only, and opened either one or two days a week.So how does this work if you’re not in group 1-3?
That was essentially my reply to someone wondering why I'd drive to Greensboro not once, but twice! Wasn't having any luck getting my son a Group 3 appointment so I was tired of it already, this signup was dead simple and gave me confirmed times, yah, but just as much, I've hardly driven my "new" car (Dec 2019, commuted in it for 2 months) that's collected more dust than mileage in a year. I will freakin' LOVE those drives up 421 and then seeing... I could care less where I have to go ... heck, I miss driving around the State.

Jones and Craven counties have opened vaccine registration to anyone 18 and older. They dont have J&J, so you’d have to take time off to get there. The Jones County Civic Center is about 2 hour drive from 1400 EMR.

Jones County to open vaccinations to anyone 18 and older
North Carolina is making people with medical conditions eligible for the vaccine starting Wednesday, but has not yet given the go-ahead to the rest of the population.www.witn.com
It really isn‘t, I probably pass the civic center when I take the back roads on my way to Pine Knoll Shores.I was born and grew up in that area (Onslow County, Jacksonville). It’s not a bad drive.

No, when we go there, we go to the Clamdigger Inn/Inn at Pine Knoll Shores. But now that my oldest daughter has a house in Wilmington, we stay there and go to Carolina Beach. You have a place there? I have a place on the old boardwalk in Emerald Isle where the islander hotel used to be. When I was in high school I worked at the lighthouse mini golf and waterslide that’s there. My family knew the owners.
