The Triangle was downgraded to level 3 from 4 but it’s still at 4 south and East. It could still be ugly though.

In line at the coliseum for my COVID shot. Impressed with how organized it is. Tons of vehicles but it’s moving smoothly
Excellent ... I'm going to start chasing my jab hard once I get back to town next week.

Parking lot was packed but I got in and out in an hour 15.
I’m going to the Greensboro FEMA site at Four Seasons Town Center tomorrow.

I got my first shot at PNC 2 weeks ago. Very organized and efficient. wake county is rolling out a new system though and is clearly having issues. i get 2-3 emails a day telling me about my scheduled second shot or telling me to schedule my first shot. They are also switching to needing a Qcode when you arrive for your shot so I dont know if it will be as smooth when i get jabbed for the second time next week.

I was very pleased with the whole process. Especially the logistics of mass vaccinations. Luckily Fayetteville has the mother of all logistical teams at their disposal - the 82nd. My vaccination was given to me by a nice Sgt from MinnieSoda who is a huge Canes fan. Had the same mask on I did. Too bad we couldn’t chat for a bit but I gave him my card so I could hook him up with some tickets.

That's got to hurt for Japan.. I know they are normally run at a loss for the host but this will hurt. (but then again that's mostly already sunk costs.)
Well ... I'm certain they would lose even more in sunk costs if they just cancelled the thing. At this point it's fairly obvious that nobody's getting everything they want out of this mess, so you just take what you can get and move on.

other than big name events like BB,swimming,track ,etc I don't think many fans travel to see things like badminton, fencing, field hockey ,etc.
Reminds me in Atlanta 2 guys went to field hockey thinking it was another name for lacrosse - which is not in the olympics.
