I want the Habs to draft Luke Tuch with one of 2nd rounders at 47/48 if need be. IMO he’s a must.I used this for fun last night and this is what I ended up with:
16- Seth Jarvis
47- Jake Neighbours
48- William Villeneuve
56- Luke Tuch
77- Tyler Tullio
97- William Dufour
101- Dmitri Ovchinnikov
108- Gunnarwolfe Fontaine
135- Josh Pillar
170- Maximilian Glotzl
187- Brady Burns
He's still the second half of the most productive brothers duo in NHL history. Why? Because his brother is a good player?
Ask Brent Gretzky how that works.
I’ve seen him play at Avon Old Farms a few other prep schools near me, Habs have no fwd prospect like him in the system - size & skill w edge, needs to fill out which will come with time (that’s saying a lot about a 6’2” 200 lbs). Very David Backes like. Why? Because his brother is a good player?

Tuch is a power forward who has a good set of offensive tools and while none of his skating, shot or puck control skills are high-end, they're all above average and allow him to affect the play in different ways. He relies on his speed and willingness to engage physically in his hunt for the puck in the offensive zone. His playmaking is quite solid, and he works the puck around the zone in the cycle, getting himself into the middle of the ice as he works off the boards. Where he struggles at times is when highly skilled players use their stick to pull the puck from the pile, he doesn't always tie up their stick and at times gets left battling on the boards while the puck is being moved. He uses his strength and leverage to separate opponents from the puck and goes hard to the enemy net, which is where he's most useful offensively. His frame is naturally big, and he shows an advanced understanding of how to use it both with and without the puck. He has a good shot but seems to fire it off into screens too often. He needs to adjust to defenders a bit better because his shot is a very solid weapon when it’s accurate. Defensively, his game is hit-or-miss and sometimes he gets lost chasing he puck carrier as opposed to maintaining his proper positioning. When he applies pressure quickly, he is an effective player. The issues arise when he finds himself out of position and abandoning his post because of aggressive defending.
So then why wait until the third round?I’ve seen him play at Avon Old Farms a few other prep schools near me, Habs have no fwd prospect like him in the system - size & skill w edge, needs to fill out which will come with time (that’s saying a lot about a 6’2” 200 lbs). Very David Backes like.
Agreed which is why I suggest Habs use one of their earlier 2nd rounders at 47 or 48So then why wait until the third round?
We did it right, until we decided to beat the Pens for no reasons. Unlikely the Rangers wins the lottery in a normal year though, so I'm not giving them any credit for that.
Once Peg won the first lottery , league would be embarrassed if a team like Pittsburgh got the top pick in the redraw
Plenty of sources mentioned issues with the Rags ball watching the draft again
League totally fuked up how they handled the draft
We had 20% chance of a top 3 pick when the season ended, versus 6% for the Rangers. In fact the Rangers had only 2% shot at the first round picks and where most likely to pick around 13th.
That’s pretty much everyone’s guess here.My prediction is Lapierre or Bourque
