2020 NHL Entry Draft

At this point, I hope they take a bunch of second league euro leaguers just to watch the dopes on RDS and TVA lose their minds.

At some point, one makes you wonder if Timmins is getting paid for every player from Minnesota he drafts. it's really rediculous to pass on much better player for these plugs.

concerning- Biondi has 5 points in 19 career USHL games.

Him and Jack Smith are both committed to UMD

124. Blake Biondi, C, Hermantown-U.S. High School

April 24, 2002 | six-foot | 191 pounds

Skating: 50
Puck Skills: 60
Physical Game: 45
Hockey Sense: 55

Biondi has been a top player at the high school level the past two seasons, including winning Minnesota’s Mr. Hockey this past season. He’s got a solid frame and a high skill level, which makes him intriguing. I’ve seen Biondi’s good days where he’s playing hard and using his skill to create by beating defenders 1-on-1 and making impressive plays to his teammates. I’ve also seen a lot of days where he doesn’t show up and offensively doesn’t show much creativity or sense. His skating is average too, so without dynamic offensive abilities, you question how his game will translate to a higher level. While he was great in high school, in his brief appearances versus better players in the USHL and the Hlinka Gretzky he was not as impressive.

Pat Ferschweiler, coach of USA Hlinka Gretzky U18 Team, on Biondi: “He’s an honest player. He’s smart, he’s got a good stick.”

Biondi absolutely trampled over opposing teams for Hermantown High School, producing 3.04 points-per-game and winning the Minnesota Minute Men Mr. Hockey Award. Anticipation is his bread and butter, swooping into passing lanes and creating turnovers. He finds most of his offensive success near the crease, digging for rebounds, jamming in pucks, and acting as a screen-tip threat. -EliteProspects 2020 NHL Draft Guide

Someone go on Twitter and check if Luc Gelinas and Stephane Leroux haven't died from an aneurysm yet.

I'm not sure I'd judge someone for an incident when they were 14... it's completely reasonable to believe that they can become a far better person.

I don't know much about the kid, hopefully he actually became a better person.

no judgment- someone just asked what the deal was with him

still have 5 guys I like here.

Surely, they'll pick Villeneuve if he's still on the board. At some point, a Quebecois has to get drafted

Nybeck looks like a player. He's only 5'7" so maybe that's why the Habs passed? Seems like a better pick than the Minnesota HS guys.
