Fantasy Baseball Rules Changes & Deadlines

Every team's list posted in the "2014 MLB Protected Lists" needs to be official, and an exact match with what they currently have in Fantrax. In your case, you've got 40 players on your list, but only 38 in Fantrax. They need to be the same.

In JaysCyYoung's case, he's got 41 players in both, so needs to drop one player in both.

What is it that needs to be done for my lineup to be up to speed?

You've got Austin Wood in your minor league system, but not on your protected list or minor league list. You either need to list him as unprotected or leave someone else unprotected.

Clown hey??? Sorry if I have more important things going on than a fantasy league.

Where I don`t agree with him calling you a clown, you can`t really expect too many nice feelings when you left us hanging the day before the draft. You`re not the only one with a busy life, and those of us that have them and make time for the league kind of get thrown for a loop because you didn`t have the courtesy to make this decision weeks ago, when filling your spot would have been much, much easier without impacting our schedules.

I dropped the retired Mark DeRosa off JCY's roster and adjusted his list, so we're good there.

I agree with that. I apologize for the inconvenience I have caused. I meant to do this over a week ago but then I got a promotion at work things got crazy for 2 days and then I left for Mexico. I've had no luck with the internet until yesterday. So again I'm sorry but I feel like its best for the league if you guys can find a more reliable owner at this time.

Maybe someday down the road when everything quiets down. (When I ain't working from 5am-7pm). I may look at re joining IF possible.

Good luck and have a fun season.

To be really real, it would have been far better for us if you had gotten through the draft and then walked.

Question. Now that protected lists are final, what happens if a trade is made where you pick up an extra body? Do we have to/are we able to update the protected list to unprotect other players? Is the new player unprotected? Does the new player get added to your roster after the draft and not affect protected lists?

Now that the lists are final, there would be no need to unprotect a player if you make an unbalanced deal. You're still subject to the roster restrictions in place, so if you needed to drop a player to keep your roster legal, you'd still have to do that.

I was thinking.... we probably should have 2 catchers spots with a combined maximum of 162 games to better replicate MLB teams.

i don't know... kinda makes sense to me, kinda doesn't

i will say if it was going to be done it should have been done prior to the draft

Why not? Wouldn't it make sense to be able to have a catcher "in" for every game?

*shrug* other position players don't play 162 games either. By that logic, we should also have 5 outfielders, 6 infielders, 6 SP, and 8 RP. I'm game if everyone else is. :lol
