Free Agent Frenzy

The problem is that it's hard to put that 'I don't want to be here' vibe back in the bottle. Once you make it clear that you are more than happy to get out of town and you are effectively counting down the days until you can, you have poisoned your relationship with the fans and organization.
Now from Columbus' perspective, rushing to trade him to Toronto wouldn't be smart either. So yeah, they are in bad spot now.

I guess that probably puts Stolarz on the trade market … along with 100 other goalies for some reason

I don’t get this move for Toronto. Bob is potentially a good idea for a contender with a platoon situation. The Leafs ain’t that. They’ve made four moves and chewed up $23.75 million in Cap space (Bob, Raddysh, Roslovic, Sissons) and I’m not sure they’ve gotten more than just a little bit better. And I actually like the Sissons and Raddysh moves … mostly.
 
The best trade in the past few days? Dorofeyev to the NYR. Now, $77 million for 7 years is steep, but that’s NYR’s problem.

Most analysts peg Dorofeyev’s value pretty much right at the contract number. That was excellent work by the Rangers. They don’t really have a playmaker to feed him, but that’s still good work by that front office

Are you not paying attention? They drafted the next coming and every FA wants to play there! The 2027 Cup is theirs!

I’m not sure where this is coming from but it’s getting old … at least for me. Toronto’s just another team on this board, regardless of what you’re seeing somewhere else. If you have some beef with Toronto fans, we’re not them
