Hey Nerds: Blockchain

Today was a gift to get cheapies on so many names. Really felt like a temporary bottom was set with the high volume blow off bottom flush. I wish I took advantage.

I rode the squeeze to 2830ES with GS and SPY. Flipped to short with QQQ. Stop set to break even...so free trade.

It's crazy how once everything turns red you literally just want to stop and retreat. And when it turns green you want to advance. It's a simple fucking color flip and yet it has an enormous impact on the emotional aspect of decision making. Is this just from a lifetime of being trained to abide by traffic signals, or is there really something behind the psychological impact of the colors red and green?

Don't know the reason but red would trigger me a little....so years ago I changed the colours on my quote stream. I got blue as +, and grey as minus

whaddya mean? our SHOP tumbled all the way to $1037.08...and you weren't tempted??

Even when it fell to $300 (USD) like a month or so ago I wasn't tempted. Should've been for fuck sake, but it's too tough to dive in at such a higher price than from where I sold. I've really only done that with one stock in the past, and it has paid off nicely, but I was much more confident and able to touch that one than I am in Shopify. I still don't quite believe it.

So from the technical standpoint, if this ends up being a green day that means something significant for the bull case?

Not really, IMO. Bulls have to attack that 2940 SPX area (they came close earlier this week) . Bears have to crack 2750 area (came close today)

Until then, we're just stuck in a range. Great for day trades but a nothing burger for anyone else.

Tech looks vulnerable. Banks are green. You see these types of rotations during these range periods.

Today told quite the tale.

First we got our panic sellers and dip buyers on a very overextended chart. Then our dip buyers rode their positions as long as possible for beautiful gains until they sold for profits. The buyers, of course, the FOMO chasers.

And now we're back to where we were at EOD yesterday. As CH1 said, mid-long term this is a nothing burger

I just caught a bit of the bull move, sold and went bearish near the top. Just got out of that. Not exactly huge gains but I scraped up pennies there.

I'm still holding some of those QQQ puts. Tightened my stop on them.

My attention now focused on COVID theme stocks. Do or die time for mask maker APT. It's been coiling all afternoon.
