Hey Nerds: Blockchain

My only long hold was even today, which is a pretty big win. Still waiting for entry on other things that have caught my eye....I will continue to wait.

MSOs looking strong. Means dick all if the broad market continues to suck a thick cock but CL/OH, GTII, CURA not all that weak comparatively speaking.

TRUL earnings today should open some eyes. Concerned that Canopy ****s it all up though. Don't have much faith in those earnings.

So yeah. TRUL crushed it and canopy shit the bed.

Sounds about right. These MSOs are going to make the LPs look embarrassing. These are the numbers in basically one ****ing state where recreational isn't even legal. Pick the right horse and these companies will be enormous.

In GTII, OH, TRUL and CURA

First blush $CGC feels kitchen-sinky; meaning, take the pain / clear the decks for new CEO.

Add to that

This is interesting...
$CGC renegotiated warrants with $STZ and now they have to buy back $1.6bn of stock (8% of share) in the next 2 years or else Constellation gets $1.6bn off the cost of exercising warrants... This is where $1.2bn loss in earnings came from.

The states are largely a much better business environment than Canada is. Canadian regulations are damn near industry killing.

Makes sense to blame everything on Bruce tbh, and get it out of the way.

I'd like to see the details on this...is that CGC renegotiating the warrants because the share price blew past the exercise price?

A bunch of recession spending on the government credit cards....but good Keynesian spending, not tax cuts for the wealthy. Build out transit, telecom infrastructure (like , tomorrow's tech not yesterdays), free labour retraining for in demand fields, etc
Government credit cards= printing money.

We both know this.

No, no we don't. That's not how a government creates debt. Only the US fed gets away with QE'ing their way out of financial trouble without it gutting their currency.

Let's make it 25-30. Test december lows, bounce off them and off we go.

Money should be shifting to MSOs anyway. Broad market is also a factor.

-7600 KG of crop loss....that's a lot of weed
-It sounds like the renegotiated warrant deal between CGC & STZ incentivized STZ driving the CGC share price down, though I'm still looking for better explanations of how/why

Real econ risk is if things go wrong, WH doesn't have a plan & doesn't have any competent personnel to come up with one. Trump's econ brain trust consists of a guy who plays an economist on TV, a nutcase the entire (real) econ profession has disowned, & the producer of LegoBatman

The only competent economic policymakers we have right now are over at the Fed...and Trump is spending all his energy trying to discredit them.

re: blaming the Fed - the banks have plenty of capacity to make loans. Trillions of dollars. Lowering rates doesn’t solve ANYTHING.
The real problem is a shortage of loan DEMAND.
Which is happening because of Dumb & Dumber trade policies / tactics creating uncertainty.

Also, the "incompetent" and "foolish" Powell is a Trump appointee. Trump decided not to give the dovish Yellen another term.
