Leaf Rumours

Just stupid. Kadri has to spend a year in the AHL proving himself on some mythical scale, while Frattin in 4 games moves ahead of him. Typical Wilson/Burke shit.
 
Great. Burke and Wilson are teaching him a lesson for opening his mouth and saying he doesn't think he needs to go to the Marlies.

These two baffoons are going to ruin Kadri to prove a point.

IMO it doesn't really matter that Kadri is being replaced in the lineup by decent players. So much of the future of the club is riding on this kid. They don't just have to give him a chance to succeed, they have to give him EVERY chance to succeed.

For the life of me I can't figure out why these guys treat Kadri the way they do.
 
I think the brat in all of us, like Kadri, but Burke and Wilson are not the Al Davis' of Oakland Raiders fame. They don't like this kid at all. They loath him. Remember, I was the first on the internet to come up with this one and took a lot of shit over this. Now its pretty obvious to almost all.

I eat a ton of shit on this board, or have anyways, how about a series of congrats of well dones, and yer goods in my pm box?

It's always great to get insider info, however it pans out, so thanks much for that.
If they want to dump Kadri, shouldn't they be playing him at least a little with the big club to showcase him or is that a chemistry issue? Also, aren't they at all hesitant the trade could haunt them?
 
I think Wilson and Burke disagree on three or four players. I think Wilson hates Franson, HATES him. I think Franson must have said something to him. Because Franson played a great game and he gets benched for the next one.

Burke is the one who has turned off on Nazem. I think Wilson likes him AND Fratting. And I think Wilson resents having to display Komisarek and play Schenn right now. But that IS my speculation. Not any information, other than the Franson and Nazem stuff.
 
Franson was decent vs. the Avs, but he was also on the ice for the OT winner.

They really need to try a Gardiner-Franson pairing, if only to see what Franson could do on the right-side.
 
Kadri will GROW into a good/great player, the Leafs brass are doing everything possible to turn him into a more humble player.

The media love the kid because he's unfiltered, but he needs to learn how to let his play on the ice do his talking.
 
Kadri will ROCK it tonight. The thing that made him a great junior, is his pride, his ego. Burke hates egocentric players, but THAT is what drives Kadri, it is what it is. So, they will always disagree on his behaviour. But I am calling for him to lead the team tonight, he is PISSED.
 
Hope you're right teeds, we could use the secondary scoring. Pretty happy to see him get in there. Clarke and Colby weren't contributing much of anything so far, so we're not losing much by putting Naz in at the expense of one of them.
 
I don't think Wilson likes Kadri ... I think Burke and him are on the same page with Kadri. I think Franson's reaction during the off-week does deserve some kind of a lesson, but I hope it's only a lesson.

I definitely agree it's order coming directly from Burke to put Komi on display, but Wilson really can't stand #8 and when the game's on the line, he benches Komi.

I think Wilson LOVES Schenn like a son though. Just listen to him talk about Schenn. DOn't forget, Wilson took Schenn on hsi team as an 18 year old, mentored and developed him himself.

I think Gardiner really impressed Wilson last night though. If I were Wilson, for tonight I'll go with ...

Phaneuf - Gunnarson (you DO want some stability and not tweak all 3 pairings)
Gardiner - Liles
Schenn - Franson
 
I think Liles desperately needs a more dependable defensive partner than the rookie, so I'd put him with Gunnar.

Which leaves Gardiner with Phaneuf.
 
I wouldn't mind trying that at another time, but it makes no sense to change ALL THREE D-pairings when you don't even have a day off to practice.
 
This is how i would like to see the pairings:

Gardiner - Phaneuf
Liles - Schenn
Gunnarson - Franson

Or flip Gardiner with Gunnarson. The key here is that we have mobility on every pairing.
