It was shocking that Randy went away from Gardiner/Franson late when they were the best pairing in the series.
It was utterly shocking that Carlyle didn't call a single time-out. He absolutely should have once Boston began to turn the momentum around with their second goal and they were pressing hard in the final few minutes.
At 4-3 though there was absolutely no excuse not to call one.
The only possible reason is if you think that your players are less tired than theirs. Which obviously wasn't the case.
Well, last year clearly was an exception by the numbers, even if it didn't seem like he fared any differently.
But I think the previous three or four years he was missing the net a lot, as he did two seasons ago based on what we see above.
So if you're hanging your hat on one season, that seems very unlike you, as someone who bows to stats as much as you do.
It's negative if you're on the PP and the main guy shooting from the point keeps firing wide.
I feel like we see that a lot with him.
The best dmen in the league miss the net a lot and they give up the puck a lot. And it's because they shoot a lot and they have the puck a lot.
It's a good thing.
I think the original point was that he misses a lot at inopportune times, like the PP.
Are you guys all telling me that none of you were part of the mob on the board here making all that noise earlier in the year when he could not hit the net on the PP?
He can have the least misses in the league every year, but miss the net on the PP 75% of the time, and still "miss a lot."
