Let's no get too arrogant here, zeke. Mitchell was a classic case of a player picked from one of the singularly best developmental pipelines in the CHL (Plymouth had three players alone discussed in "Future Greats and Heartbreaks" that have become NHL contributors from one team) and didn't have classically intriguing upside but was likely to make the NHL based purely on his ability to perform a wide variety of roles well. And it's no coincidence that Mitchell started sucking when he began to deviate away from his defensive play, energy, and forechecking abilities and started to try to play like Sidney Crosby. He was a projectable prospect who always had a reasonable shot at making it. It's not like you were the only one claiming this. I also remember commenting on him and the Williams pick years ago.
