Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Wow did you just switched from bottom 6 to middle 6 mid argument? Not the same thing. We totally should develop middle 6 players, it’s the 4th liners I couldn’t care less. Sure it’s not for depth but you can always sign them for less than 1M or trade for them for a 5-7th pick.

Defensemen you can never have too many and decent depth D are still expensive and hard to get, so yes we should develop those. 4th liners however, I don’t really care.
Bottom 6 is the middle 6 , but I agree with fourth liners

However , you should have a plug on the fourth line ready to go

Draft picks shouldn’t be given away
But most NHL prospects are overvalued the second they’re drafted. It’s like falling in love after swiping right on a dating app. Remember the 87 page thread when we traded Danny Kristo?

For those of you ready to call Slaf a bust, I have two words: Adrian Kempe. Only took him 6 seasons in the NHL to establish himself as a star (he is). Patience needed.

Who called Slaf a bust?

I think whatever disappointment folks here have is more a function that the top of of his draft wasn’t the greatest. Not every year provides a Bedard or Matthews or McDavid. That’s what makes the NHL draft a bit boring, in my opinion.

As for Kempe, nice player but like you said, it took over half a decade, which is completely fine for a very late first rounder (29th).

When you come in last and win the ping pong game, you always hope for an immediate franchise changer

Some ppl don't wanna wait 3 years for Michkov so 6 years is outrageous

You didn’t just put Bedard in the same category as McDavid, did you?
