Les Habitants Prospects Thread

He's really not that good guys, I couldn't care less if they didn't sign him. Another case of brother is decent so let's draft the younger one. Well that doesn't workout very often.

Yep.

I have little hope he even becomes a 4th liner.

Like how we had Sylvain Turgeon for two forgettable seasons and then later acquired his younger brother Pierre and got one decent season out of three and also made him captain even though his nickname throughout the league was "The Tin Man" because he had no heart.

We had better luck with the Richard and Mahovlich brothers.

Mailloux is what he is. A guy drafted at 31st. Now sure if not for the legal trouble he might have gone much higher but 31st is probably closer to what he actually is going to be. If you draft a guy 31st (which, in the past would have been in the second round) and he manages to have any sort of NHL career you chalk that up as a win. It seems likely from what I've seen of him that Mailloux will be an NHLer, but he's not going to be a star. He's not going to be someone without whom you can't function. He's probably got more value as a trade chip right now because few have seen him and he was highly touted in junior. The hype around him will always be greater than the reality of him.

What a clown. Comes out of self-detention/protest from X to flog this crap. A slapped together list based on press clippings and stat-ogling. Scott, please crawl back under your rock and never surface again.
