OT: CFL Thread

oh there is a lot of field hockey, but not like it is a major sport, it is mostly a girls' sport

Rugby is popular but not like it is a major one.

Hockey and soccer are still number one/two for youth.

The forecast for the west semi-final on sunday in Calgary is -21 and 1-3 cm of snow.

Now imagine if we had weather like that for the Winter Classic game against the Habs in Feb. But more likely it will be +10 and windy. Calgary is a crazy place.

Now the Als have to complete the double header and you boys in Toronto will have it easy for a few weeks.

I grew up a Rough Riders fan-poor me ( not the green ones) so I won't be cheering for anyone in particular. Anyway, sadly, hardly anybody in Toronto cares about the Argos , even thought its the only decent team they have.

Alouettes got their tickets to the Grey cup and it was a walk in the park. Just need to know against who it will be against now. They completly owned the argos. tough weekend to be a toronto fan.

You give a veteran team like the Als two weeks off to rest and recuperate and study the opposition's film and they will destroy you.

I don't like the Als's chance against the Stamps.

Would be much more confident against the Roughriders.

Plus, worm would be happy. ;)

MONTREAL - It’s becoming an annual tradition for the Montreal Alouettes. Finish first in the East Division and waltz to another Grey Cup appearance. And this season will be no different.

The Als jumped to a 17-0 lead before the game was nine minutes old and cruised to a 48-17 victory over the Toronto Argonauts Sunday afternoon in the East Division final before 58,021 raucous Olympic Stadium spectators.

Wow. Amazing.

And I was reading an article down here a few months back that said Montreal could never support an NFL team, only Toronto.

I don't know if Montreal could support an NFL team, but they're a great city for the CFL.

Glad I got my tickets. Should be awesome.....and im guessing 3/4 of SK will be in Edmonton next weekend.
