OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

Thanks for this. I’m actually getting people telling me that because I have tested negative multiple times that what I have is not actually COVID and that I should be going into work/join them for a cottage weekend etc.
Even if it is another illness you should not be doing those things anyway.

Get well soon!

Yep. Co-worker who’s office is directly across the hall from mine was at work all of last week constantly hacking and coughing up a storm.

She swore up and down that she was negative for Covid, but I was still supremely annoyed she was at work and exposing all of us to that either way (and I am pretty convinced that she did in fact have Covid and was the one who gave it to me).

So yeah, negative test or not, if you’re sick, staying at home is the considerate thing to do. Even if the people pestering you to go in to work or hang out with friends disagree.

Yeah people have too much faith that these rapid tests catch the shit on time. They don't. I know many who didn't test positive till day 4 or 5 of symptoms.

Speaking of that, I think I was just exposed because that exact fucking scenario. "I'm sick as fuck, cough feverish, etc, but I tested negative!"

It's July. There's really only one virus going around right now. You have covid. And I probably will too soon.

What a lot of people don't understand is that getting sick with the flu or common cold + catching COVID is a recipe for a hospital stay...

You can be sick with multiple viruses + bacterial infections at the same time. COVID will ravage you if that's the case.

Yeah, I definitely have it. Three positives on my trip were all in first class with me, including the guy sitting next to me. Common sense people, It’s fucking covid. I don’t just have the sniffles, I can’t get outta bed.

anyways, I’ll re-test tomorrow.
