OT: Coronavirus Resources - and other things to not worry about

So I flipped off RFKjr today and got my flu and Covid shots, courtesy of Northern Nevada Public Health (NNPH). My travel plans for getting them over in the City changed, so NNPH's recently announced "event" kept me from being even later with my innoculation schedules. No charge, no appointment or insurance needed. Just show up, fill out as much of the paperwork as you can stand, then go get your jabs. Flu cases have been on the rise locally, plus a flu-related death was reported last week. NNPH timing purty good, and staff very kind and helpful.

Yeah. Fuck off, Bobby.

The flu has absolutely fucking obliterated me. And the torture won't end! It just lingers and lingers and lingers. What is life without a fever? Can anyone tell me?

I had the seasonal bubons for the few weeks leading up to Christmas and yeah, no joke this year. I covid tested twice because I didn't believe it was the seasonal. I'm still getting some chest congestion ~5 weeks out, though the rest of the symptoms are gone now. You'll be fine in another week or so, or you'll die. Coin flip.

I'm good with either at this point. I got the Covid last year and it was misery for a good month but the acute illness at least ended within 5-6 days. With that, all I was left with after the acute part was the inability to keep my eyes open for longer than 6 hours consecutively. I think I slept 17 hours a day for a month. Which wasn't so bad. Then I got my energy back.
