It's funny, I get a lot of shit for being a bit of hoarder (our apartment is like 1,000 sq feet, so not actually), but boy am I glad that I keep our shelves so well stocked. My wife is vegetarian, so we mostly subside off of beans and lentils and the like, and I have a cupboard full of enough to keep us fed for at least two weeks. Our freezer is mostly filled with raw cat food so even if I wanted to can't stock up on fruits and veg, but I already have maybe 10 lbs of apples in the fridge, 5 lbs frozen blueberries, etc.
Ironically enough I'm about a month overdue for a Costco run, so will be heading there after work. Interested to see the carnage, or lack thereof. I'm in Halifax, and as far as I know we don't have any reported cases. We legitimately need toilet paper, so I will be pissed if it is sold out.
The Health Authority just set up a testing station, and man were they smart about it. You first call 811, and they will direct you to the station if recommended. You get an appointment, so no waiting. These locations are separate from the hospitals. And they control how many people can go in/out. I mean I still expect the virus to come and spread, but it's nice to know our health professionals are trying to be proactive about things.
Question for you
@LeafGm - I recall you being a dog owner. I was thinking to myself, in the event I am in quarantine, what happens to our dog. We have a yard at least, but normally she gets 90 minutes of exercise minimum, with much of that off leash.
