OT: Movies/TV Shows

You know who I underate alot as an actor but has done serious stuff but some dumb ass stuff as well is John C Reilly. That's why Boogie nights was such an awesome movie. Reilly Hoffman and Cheadle surrounded by Wahlberg and Burt Reynolds was awesome.
 
In Charlie Wilson's War, you can smell the sleaze off of PSH. He plays a guy who's fat, sweaty and sleazy. That's his trademark, but it does it well.

That was before Titanic. Now he does "Movie Star" roles. Many actors do their best work before they hit it big. The big budget starring roles are often not as challenging and more about drawing an audience.

Leo was also terrific in Basketball Diaries.
 
Norton was looking pretty damn good but I have heard him being a dick to work with.

Though I do love that he refused to play a guy that smokes in Rounders.

lots of good names batting around but Meryl Streep is in a league all her own

ugly people > beautiful people ..... in terms of acting talent
 
As far as the ladies are concerned, this Kelly MacDonald appears to have it. The Coen brothers were skeptical a Scottish lass could pull off Texas trailer trash, but she did.
