Europe represented something like 40% of total broadcast revenue of the world cup by itself. UEFA wouldn't have to make many friends for the gravity of it all to kill Fifa. Yeah, get Conmebol on board and the other federations follow.

Another symptom of the deep, deep rot that has set in at all levels of our society. A rot designed by our billionaire class to make us more and more subservient to them in fucking everything. They're literally trying to ruin and tax every bit of our existence for the benefit of a few thousand people.

Looks like CONCACAF has rejected the plan unanimously. Apparently their public statement notes:

“…the need for private equity investment to fund new and existing FIFA Forward programs following the most profitable FIFA World Cup in history was questioned.”

Which is a damn good point.

I think we should all take a moment to thank Italy for being ahead of the curve on boycotting FIFA competitions. I know I shit on them a lot, but they've showed us what real leadership looks like this time.

Anyway, the CONCACAF statement is a little cute. I mean, it was that 15B profit that attracted this bid. Private equity isn’t offering up to finance future FIFA endeavours, it’s a vampire looking to extract billions from a juicy target.
