OT: The News Thread

Zimmerman hasn't "walked free". He was arrested and he will be tried.

Zimmerman was released from the scene after cursory questioning. He was never taken into custody for questioning.

Leroy Jenkins would have been cuffed and interrogated at the station, held for every second they could have.

You're telling me Zimmerman walked away? Then why does he have a team of defence lawyers? Why is he "f*cked?" You're all over the place and not making sense. Zimmerman is in a ton of shit for what he did, and justifiably so. Where we differ is that people of your ilk immediately convicted him while people like me wanted a fair trial.

You're telling me Zimmerman walked away?

You seriously don't know how to read the english language well.

Then why does he have a team of defence lawyers?

Probably because he's been charged with murder?

Why is he "f*cked?"

Because his stated justification, isn't legal justification.

You're all over the place and not making sense.

No, you have shit comprehension. I have little doubt that there are numerous people following this conversation and understanding my reasoning quite easily.

Based on what we know of the case, I absolutely believe that he's guilty. But he still deserves a fair trial...you keep on presenting this line of bullshit like we were ready to form a lynch mob and that's simply not the truth.

I will retract one thing though....It's been months since I read much at all about this case, Zimmerman was taken briefly into custofy for questioning. Approximately 5 hours in total, and then released.

Including me.
I can't believe KrauthammerBoy is still frothing at the mouth over this. Amazing what a few sympathetic comments from the POTUS can do to our little wanna-be conservative.

I think that, in the end, this will end a pretty "open and shut" case. And I do believe there has been at least some racism involved in how it went down. I mean, Zimmerman was clearly profiling, and to be allowed to walk free from the scene of a gun death....I have a hard time believing that Leroy Jenkins is able to do that.

I'm not talking about the racism that Zimmerman may or may not have, I'm talking about KB, myself and a few others who were accosted (as you just did tonight) with accusations of racism. I'm not even sure where there is a logical, sane connection since neither are white.

There is no politics or race involved here in a debate of the incident. What it really boils down too is people view of law and order. Some people will see this as justified based on self defense, some will not. Some people will see Zimmerman following as justified and proactive, some wont. To turn this discussion points into charges of racism is to intentionally misuse it to "win" or shut down discussion.

Anywho.....let's see what happens. It's an old story and frankly, it's a relatively minor one in the big scheme of things.

I just watched some CNN interviews the savages "friends". Absolutely unrepentant and it's the British governments fault that caused them to butcher.

There is another CNN interview that I saw tonight that is even more damning but can't find it on CNN or the net.

The above videos prove without a shadow of a doubt that there is no spiritual "religious" aspect to these crazies. It's simply boils down to politics. As such, any religion that moves from it's spiritual foundation to the political then should not have even the slightest protection under "freedom of religion". As a secular society, we need to re-establish, by force of law if need be that freedom of religion only applies to spiritual practice, not political or social dominance.

Right along with the crazies we have the political left of our society preaching the narrative of "victimhood" for political gain. It's bad enough containing the hatred spread through misuse of religion, the left give political and ideological cover as well. "Those people hate you, vote for us". I'm not sure if it's moral relativity for political gain or simply mind numbing shortsightedness for the unintended consequences of the "victimhood" mantra.

Of course, some of the right also is to blame. Instead of focusing and isolating the politics of Islam (or any religion), they lash out at the general Muslim population which in large part, want nothing to do with this other then to practice the spiritual aspect of their religion. They give the left an all too easy target to sell vicitmhood politics.

Last but not least, those vote sucking, power blinded flotsam, also know as politicians, they will suck up to anything and say anything if they think there are votes or donations involved.

Ignoring that there is a racial component to this incident is myopic. Pretending that it doesn't influence the opinion of people like KB (and potentially yourself as well) is also myopic. KB opened up this entire bit of nonsense by claiming that because Trayvon allegedly/admittedly smokes weed and had a picture of a gun on his phone, and had texts suggesting that he aspired to gun ownership that he was somehow not the good kid that he's been portrayed as. Jam your fingers in your ears all you want, but there's no ****ing way that he tries to spin this in that manner if a white kid from the suburbs or the country had similar "evidence" found on his phone. Only because the victim here is black, does the aspirations of gun ownership suggest that he's a bad person.

I'm not lazily throwing around "racism" tags, I'm simply pointing out the blatant hypocrazy of his stance. Ignoring the racial component of this story is ignoring it's core.

Honestly...I think that singling them out gives them the ammunition that they want. It would do nothing but radicalizing western muslims in larger numbers. Show them our conviction as a society by smashing them in the teeth with our ideals. Want to kill innocent people? Okay...we're not going to attack islam, or your culture, but we are going to catch you the individual, and throw you in a ****ing hole for the rest of your life. No glory to Islam, just you in a small room for the rest of your natural days.

We need to tweak and fine tune some of our existing laws to deal with crime like this, but it is what it is, crime. Treating it like a clash of civilizations is exactly what they want.

If he was a WHITE wannabe gangbanger in the same spot, I'd say same thing. This might not have been some squeaky clean angel going out to buy skittles and a fair trial needs to establish facts before we string the guy up for capital murder. And I submit that Martin and his supporters were far quicker and more prone to make this racial than were. Remember how hard they tried to portray Zimmerman as a "white" Hispanic? When in history has that been done before this case? Never. But the race warriors were very quick to do that here. A "white" Hispanic hunted a poor innocent little black kid and hopeychange was quick to inject himself into this saying "it could have been me".

Yeah I'm confused...I thought having a gun was a strong symbol of freedom and liberty and something inspiring?

Also a 17 year old with pot paraphernalia? Woah. How ****ing rare is that?

selling weapons illegally is commonplace? really? growing pot is now something that we expect all 17 year olds to do? ok. sure.

the point is, this kid wasnt the bright eyed, adorable, innocent little 12-year old that the press was trying to portray him as from the get go. that doesnt justify him being killed, but i think the entire picture of what went down that night needs to be known before we string up the "white hispanic" for killing him.

Yeah pretty sure the jury is not going to be such empty headed dopes that they would fall for what you are falling for. But then again it is Florida. Lots of people are scared of blacks down there as well.
