We have our own young bodies to throw into that mix as well (TD, Malachi) and frankly, what happens if we offer Siakam + + and keep a whole pile of those futures for other moves?
C - KAT
PF - OG
SF - ??.....Demar in free agency?
SG - ??
PG - Fred
While still having either our lottery pick, or a bunch of those other 1sts.
I get that there's a whole bucket of posturing from these teams during this process, but if some 2nd round pick shooting 25% from 3 is where you draw the line on Lowry....jeebus.
There's no one on the Lakers that should be off limits in a Lowry trade other than Lebron and AD. Their window is now while Lebron still has father time in a choke hold. What he's doing at 36 is incredible, but the cliff is coming.
Yeah, I don't love this. Trent can shoot the lights out, but is a pending RFA. Hood has a cheap team option next year and frankly is great trade salary balast for chasing a star in the summer.
At first glance this feels like a trade to set up other trades while getting a young potential 3/D wing player. If this isn't part of a broader narrative, I don't like it at all.
