OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

Currently, BetOnline sets Philadelphia’s odds at 3/1. Only one team is ahead of them, and it happens to be the Boston Celtics, whose odds are at 2/1.

The real shocker here is that the Raptors and the Bulls trail Philadelphia. Ranked third, the Raptors are set at 4/1 odds to grab Lillard. The Bulls are four teams behind Toronto, with odds set at 16/1.

So the rumour is that any Dame trade is really likely to turn into a 3 way because Portland apparently wants Ayton if Phoenix will do Ayton for Nurkic +.

Now, it's also relatively well known that Phoenix wanks to the thought of adding OG to their lineup since trading Bridges so there's probably some actual smoke here.

This salary structure works under the cap:

To Toronto: Dame
To Phoenix: OG, Nurkic
To Portland: GTJ, Ayton, Thad Young

Now, I think there would be some fucking about around the edges to make it work with picks. I would expect both Phoenix and us would be throwing in some picks (1 or 2 from us, 1 or 2 from Portland)...but uhh, that's kind of fucking sane and makes sense for everyone.

Blazers want Dick in any trade with the Raptors.

That's the straight up deal if there's no Ayton move with it apparently. OG + Dick + 1st + Swaps

Honestly don't know what Dick is going to be in this league yet, but if Portland's scout on him is off, that's some kind of fucking steal.

There would have to be a financial component of the deal though...like a lot, 20 million more in salary a lot.

Also a big fwiw, apparently there is a version of this including Portland, the Clippers, and Philly that works roughly like this:

Dame & Covington to Philly
Harden & Tobias Harris to Clippers
Tyrese Maxey, Norm Powell, Morris Sr, Mann to Portland.

With a bucket of picks and stuff thrown in to balance

Is anyone else a little apprehensive to trade for a guy who only wants to be in one city and then expect him to play in Canada? Would he be willing to play out his contract here?

After days of the growing consensus being that Portland doesn't want Tyler Herro under any circumstances.

I'm going to bet this is one of two things. Miami found a partner in a 3 way who has things Portland wants that will take Herro, or Portland playing the media game to strangle better offers out of everyone else.
