OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

But the bucks were a pretty balanced offense after Giannis.

Giannis 32.3usg%
Khris 25.1usg%
Bledsoe 22.9usg%
Brogdon 20.7usg%
Mirotic 20.4usg%

Nurse told Lowe that Kawhi is the funniest Raptor.

Lowe also asked Nurse about what the most pivotal moments were for him during the regular season, personally, and he picked two.

The first came in San Antonio in January, when the Raptors were blown out in Leonard and Danny Green’s return to the Spurs’ stomping grounds, after which they all came together to defeat the Bucks on the road without Kyle Lowry.

The second came as a result of Lowry, after Nurse’s mother passed away. Despite leaving the team momentarily, he returned to coach against the Los Angeles Clippers. When Lowry asked why he came back so quickly, Nurse said it was because his mom would kick his butt if he didn’t, to which Lowry responded:

“We’re going to win the title for your mom.”

The police cannot seem to keep their story straight over the Masai incident at the end of the NBA Finals. And multiple eyewitnesses contradict them. (H/t @robyndoolittle and @caitrinH)

Police say they have video of the incident, but haven’t released it. And the body cam apparently shut off because of Masai’s shove?

This is ridiculous. I spoke to the Staff Sargeant for the Alameda Sheriff's Office the morning after. He confirmed over the phone that the officer had been checked by a doctor and was completely fine. Unhurt with no injuries. twitter.com/StarSports/sta…

They also specifically told me on Monday that they have body camera footage. This was 4 days after the incident. Wouldn't you know by that point that you don't have it?

Snell and the 30th pick traded to Detroit

Saw that. That gets them down to about 76 million on a 109 million dollar cap. I think they'll try to add a couple of rotation pieces using cap space and then go over locking up Brogdan and Middleton.

The shove turned off the body camera.

**** off.

I mean, if you're going to piss on my head and tell me it's raining, at least hide your dick.

This is really a horrible look from front to back for the ACSO

- The cop wasn't remotely professional in any sense of the word. You hire police officers at events like this because they're supposed to be security specialists of some level. Part of being a professional at an event like this isn't just being a rage monkey when people have the wrong credentials. It's understanding who the VIP's are and understanding that events like this have certain people who are kind of a big ****ing deal to them. If the cop didn't know who Masai was, that's on him, regardless whether Masai had his credentials or his cock in his hand

- This nonsense over Masai not having the right credentials. Sort of a carry over from my 1st point. He had legitimate event credentials in his hand and he's not a random, he's Masai ****ing Ujiri. Masai doesn't have the right arm band? Oh, no worries Mr Ujiri, this way sir, enjoy your victory congratulations. The thing that undercuts this entire line of excuse from the ACSO is that almost ****ing nobody of any value was wearing an armband during the ceremony. None of the Raptors front office, none of the NBA head office, none of the media. Literally nobody other than true randoms who know someone important enough to get them floor access.

- Masai presented his credentials in a "very threatening way"...near the officers face, who it has been reported by bystanders, was yelling at Masai "aggressively".

- It's also been reported by eye witnesses that people in the ****ing crowd started shouting at the cop to tell him that Masai was the Raptors GM. People in the ****ing crowd knew who he was and this cop didn't. The cop responded "No" and pushed Masai (according to our favourite racist police spokesperson, Masai was in the cops "personal space" and this of course required a push because police training). Just to clarify the pushes, according to the racist, the cop pushed Masai at "a level 5", and Masai pushed the cop "at a level 10".

- The only public video shows a completely unhinged cop and a calm but rattled Raptors President. Completely unhinged rage monkey. Literally needed to have multiple people put themselves in between him and Masai to stop him from assaulting Masai in front of the cameras of the ****ing world.

- ACSO is called the day after the incident and a reporter is told that the Officer is fine and sustained no injury....woops, now he's concussed from a strike to the jaw a couple of days after that.

- We're going forward with charges and we have "damning" footage from the body cam and arena cameras. Uhhh...about the body cam footage, the force of the push turned the camera off. We're not releasing the arena camera footage yet either.

- The cop has retained a personal injury lawyer. ****ing seriously.

- The police spokesperson is the same guy, as HL was kind enough to show us the other day, who was reposting white nationalist tweets on the ACSO official twitter page. Managed to keep his job as their actual spokesperson too.

Just a ****ing joke of a situation, the ACSO is a clown show.

Anyone know what our trade exceptions our? I believe we have three of them that we can take back salary without giving any? I am not sure how much they are worth.

how do trade exceptions work?

One listing I found:

Poeltl $2.95
Wright $2.55
Malachi $1.55
Monroe $1.50

So around $8.5m total.

I don't think you can combine them though. I may be wrong on this, but my recollection is they must be used individually.

90. Can exceptions be combined when making trades?
If a team has two trade exceptions from previous non-simultaneous trades, they can't combine them into one larger trade exception. Suppose a team trades a $5 million player for a $4 million player (generating a $1 million trade exception) and separately trades a $3 million player for a $1 million player (generating a $2 million trade exception). They cannot combine the two into a single $3 million trade exception. A rule of thumb is that a trade exception can only be used to acquire a player making up to the amount of the exception plus $100,000.
