OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Bobby Orr, Deion Sanders, Babe Ruth are the only comparables I can come up with for guys who made elite level contributions in multiple positions/counter intuitive ways.

- A defender winning the scoring title is stupid
- Sanders was a human eraser defensively and the best kick returner in football
- Babe is basically Ohtani from 100 yrs ago if Ohtani was addicted to scotch and hotdogs.

I still think Ohtani is the most special of all
 
Deion also played ball part time and had one killer year where he had 14 triples in half a year

Yep

I was trying to avoid the multi sport aspects of it because it's different than what Ohtani is doing, but yeah Deion is an all timer. About as good a baseball player as Bo overall (their WAR/150 is pretty close) and was a legitimate starting 9 calibre guy during his prime but his accomplishments in the NFL are probably top 10 all time at any position. It's like if Tim Duncan was a decent top 4 defender for a few NHL teams during 6-7 years in his mid prime.

Deion continues to impress -- he became a media talking head, and then gave it up in order to work his way up the college coaching ranks. The guy wot't stop...can't stop.
 
Bo seemed like one of those guys who could be good at anything he touched. A physical freak with a natural athletic ability to pick up a ball or stick and do well with it

I read the Watt's we're very good hockey players but their parents chose football due to the cost
