Was obvious Romano didn't have it. You have a star studded BP.
Highlight of the game. Buck staying the Rays will play at "Skydome" next week.

Jays lead baseball with 51 saves, and have the 3rd fewest blown saves at 18.
Romano is 5th in baseball with 36 saves, and tonight was only his 4th blown save. The only guys with a better sv% than him are Bednar and Diaz, who both have 1 more save and 1 less blown save than Romano.

He says, gotta trust your closer, he's your guy, which, while extremely old school and kinda dumb, sure, fine, i can wrap my head around it and get it, sort of, even if Mayza is like the best LHRP in baseball and Romano isn't looking good and apparently has a fingernail issue and a LHH is coming up. Stupid. Fucking Stupid, but okay. Why is Mayza even warming if this is your logic though? I dont get this man. I really hate him.

And for a guy who claims to love matchups too. He's the wrong kind of old school, and IMO he's gotten worse this year, which tells me that whatever Don Mattingly is doing in his role of " guru advisor" is also complete nonsense. If we make the playoffs though it's going to be a very hard sell to fire them though.

when he's injured, not looking good, on b2b nights, and set to face a dangerous LHH and you have the best LHRP in baseball warming it kinda is.
It isnt 1994 anymore, the whole, this is my closer he closes no matter what thing, is dated, and dumb, no matter how good Romano is ( he's very very good) there are circumstances where you go to someone else.
