OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Biebs looks like he's going to come back with a vengeance based on the way his rehab is going.

If he'd be open to getting a discounted deal done before coming back and proving himself, it would be a great buy low move to see if they can come to terms and take the RISK that he's going to be great. We know they love risk.

There is a real world possibility they stretch out Varland as a SP

Jays have recalled Buddy Kennedy ( actual person) and have DFA'd Ali Sanchez

If he doesnt produce he will opt in not and piss away 16 mil

If he does well hope he works with the Jays on a fair contract with guarantees and bonus laden based on innings and performance

I dont see a team blowing their brains out on a long term deal right now

This just isn't remotely true. Like hilariously not true. Just to pick out the fucking wagon that won the World Series, that no one argues wasn't an elite team as the obvious piece of data against that argument.

Dodgers
Record: 98-64 (1st), RDiff expected 96-66 (T-1), KDiff: +54 (12th in Pitching K's, 12th in Hitting K's). There's no expected formula out there that I'm aware of for strikeout differential, but 12th+12th /= motherfuckingelitejizzwagon
Taking a quick look at the best teams last year according to KDiff

San Diego: +396
Houston: +303
Cleveland: +224
Minnesota: +194
Yankees: +131

*this is not a complete list, I'm not compiling the entire fucking league, just the obvious teams that stood out at the top of both leaderboards

The two teams with the best run differential in baseball (LAD and NYY) met in the World Series last year. So that should have been San Diego-Houston? The Minnesota fucking Twins should have been a 95 win team?

Zeke's shuffling around of samples is way, way more compelling an argument for the Jays being actually really good than strikeout differential.

There is an argument to be made that Berrios should be the SP that moves to the pen should they choose to bump one.

He simply gets hit really hard, which is probably not good in Coors
