Phil Kessel

Dude, if you would just admit once in a while that you were wrong people would be a lot easier on you. It's your insistence on defending your pet players and vilifying others that detracts from your credibility as a talent evaluator.

The funny thing is, once Kuly starts scoring a bunch, everyone here will say NOW he's playing well, not before.

He'll have just turned on a magic switch that allows him to excel.

Or he'll start playing well, and the goals will be a product of that stronger level of play. His shots, hits, blocked shots, etc will all go back to his usual rates...which would be indicative of a return to form.

Ya know, some players go through periods of poor play, it happens. Maybe Kulemin is just wildly streaky?

His contributions in all facets of the game are down this season, often alarmingly so in certain areas. The fact of the matter is that if he starts improving his level of play, hitting more, and generating more offensive chances, he will start scoring more goals.

And then it will be appropriate to laud him for playing well. But not a minute beforehand.

What am I wrong about? That I think he's playing well? He may not be playing AS well as last year so far, but I've said already that I think Grabo is the likely cause of his numbers being down and his game being slightly off. But just because he may not be as good as last year doesn't mean he's bad this year. He's been good.

Funny how it's always the gang that stubbornly holds its opinion that calls me stubborn and carries on about how I won't admit I'm "wrong".

You guys carry on with your orge while I get back to work and wonder why I bother with the total waste of time that is this board.

No, he hasn't been good. His physical play is diminished as reflected in the declining hit totals, he has not been scoring as often, and he's been generally ineffective defensively compared to last season. Only a complete and utter homer would defend Kulemin's play as having been anything but lackadaisical and uninspired this season.

The funninest part of LoF's argument is that if your center is the cause of you being goal-less in 19 games and your stats being waaay down all across the board, then you're flat out not a very good hockey player. Hell, I don't think you'd even belong in the NHL.

Thankfully, that's not actually the case with Kulemin.

Kulemin has sucked.

But there will be a point when he stops sucking because he's too talented to be this bad. He will eventually go back to being a very good 2nd liner, just hope it's this season because the Leafs need the secondary scoring.

I wonder if that Russian plane crash effected him.

I thought you were at work wondering why you wasted our time with us? Seems like a funny way to spend your time at work, but oh well.

Looks like you're now policing not just my spelling, but also my comings and goings here.

Speaking of work, time to maybe look into finding a job of your own.

Huh? Mindz disappears for long stretches of time on here primarily due to the Fort McMurray scheduling that the energy companies employ. He has had significant absences from posting on numerous occasions, only to return like clockwork.

I think that it's obvious that he has a job in the location that he claims, or he's demonstrating some major commitment to lying.
