I have a love hate thing with Mucho. He's a game breaker. He makes plays that results in high end chances and even goals often out of nothing. And he still has done that this series imo. But he's certainly frustrating at a times. Disappears and/or makes real dumb decisions in most of his shifts really.

3 secondary assists last night helped. He was good in those 4 minutes and OT but he didn't drive the comeback. He should produce more. I thought he was quite good in game 3 personally.
 
he's been shit this series. Marner can be a dominant force and we haven't seen any of that.

I think part of it is that the book on him now is muffin shot, and that has changed the way he gets covered.
 
it's actually pretty funny how big a deal benching Goat's huge ass turned out to be.

Disagree with shit all series. In the back half of game 3 he started looking a bit like himself again and carried it into game 4. One of the few guys that looked okay through the game.

Not saying this is 2018 just been paired up with JT for the first time to start the season, Marner, but showing positive signs he coming around

Matty was full on sleeping in this series till the last few minutes of this game.

Like I said, we shouldn't expect to win when he's not doing his thing.
 
I was just thinking about cranking out a spreadsheet comparing the leafs with our core at ages 19-21 in the playoffs with the oilers core at the same age in '80-82, when they kept losing to elite teams in the first round.

Of course, at age 22 they made (and lost) the cup finals.
