In its quarterly earnings call on Thursday, Tesla said fourth-quarter profits were down by 61% year-over-year, and annual profit cratered by 46% in 2025.

So...Tesla makes five vehicles, is killing off two of them but neither that they're killing off is the cybertruck, and they're not replacing those vehicles with newer vehicles, they're replacing them with the Optimus robot. The robot kind of can't do anything on it's own, but something something AI and the price Elon wants to get them to is more than budget chinese EV's cost. The likely cost he'll end up selling them for is more than a upper mid tier chinese EV costs.

I'm assuming that one of the first production models is going to punch a hole in the chest of it's Elon fanboy owner and Tesla stock will go up 7% on the news.
