The Good The Bad & The Ugly - Game 2 - Habs vs Capitals

Im gonna give credit to Therrien who made some very good adjustments to get the team going
 
Quite enjoyable beating 2 teams at their home openers.

Great game by Dustin. Very good to see Gally score in the SO as I think he was already getting frustrated this year.

The team did get better as the game went on but I thought Markov was solid the whole night.

Subban was night and day opposite of last night and frankly we're lucky it didn't result in more than 1-goal by the Caps.

Sweet moves by Galchenyuk in the SO and DD is just gold in them.

Nice suit for MT as well.

The Caps had 15 shots in the 1st, and then 15 in the 2nd/3rd and OT combined. "Overall" they were outplayed.

PS> Add to that the Chris Lee factor...and we blew them out! :lol

Bad: Tom Gilbert.

Ugly: PK Subban made a rookie mistake in his own zone like he was being paid ELC money, not top dollars money.

They outplayed us in the first period and even at that it was less about what they were doing and mostly about the fact that we sleepwalked through the first 20 minutes. As soon as Prust had that fight the Habs woke up and took over the game. If the refs don't call that goalie interference crap this game doesn't even get to overtime.

Can't blame him. He's been working on friggin' bridge deals for so long now he probably forgot that he's actually being paid now.

We could have, but we didn't. Overall including overtime they had a slight edge. We outplayed them in the third. That's the way it was. Let's nor be revisionist so soon after the game. Nothing wrong with getting 2 points when you are not at your best. Sign of a good team.

I felt the tide turned midway through the 2nd and Habs took the 3rd with more zone play and quality chances
