Fair enough.st louis was mad at yzerman for snubbing him on the olympic team.
I liked morin in kitchener... but hes never done much in the nhl.Panik to the Blackhawks for Jeremy Morin. as per sportsnet.
Forgot about Panik. I liked him, obviously babs didn't but I wonder why
Morin wasn't going to get a shot here
And by here, you mean there.
I'd honestly rather hang on to Percy at this point. We're a lot lighter on good defensive prospects than we are on forward prospects.I recall Columbus wanting Percy in a deal for Rychel.
How would people feel about a similar swap?
I don't think we'll see Columbus take on any of our vets.
18 pts in 20 games as a 21 year old is awful numbers?
For a kid with good size i would say that is pretty decent for his age. He isn't a stud but i would still call him a pretty promising prospect, if it takes percy i would be fine with that move.

And I still think Percy has what it takes to be a solid second-pairing defenseman at the NHL level. After all the time spent on developing him so far, I'd like to see him do it as a Leaf.
Who said 18 points in 20 games is "awful"?
It's not bad, but if you take it in context with the numbers he put up in his rookie season in the AHL, he hasn't done much to prove so far that he's got what it takes to be a top-6 offensive producer at the NHL level. For reference's sake, Josh Leivo, Brendan Leipsic and Connor Brown are three depth prospects in our organization who had better 20 year-old/rookie seasons in the AHL than Rychel, and comparable (or better) post-draft performances in the CHL.
And all this is not to say that Rychel's a bust or "awful", just that he's not someone we should kick the doors down to acquire.
It seems to me Cooper is causing the Lightning a lot of headaches/. Not sure it was worth extending him. That team has nice talent, you can find another coach to get results.
