2019-Whenever Misc. Grab Bag Thread

True, once upon a time, Wesley was an offensive dman, with 16 goals in each of his last 3 seasons in the WHL and then scoring 77 goals in 7 season with the Bruins. He only scored 51 more in his 13 seasons with the Whalers/Canes, with only 5 In his last 5 seasons, covering 354 games.
Yeah, and even then he wasn't what you'd call slick. He was the 2nd point on a power play with Ray Bourque and thus had a TON of room to operate and got a lot of relatively cheap assists.

I think the most impressive part of Marek's shootout goal is the fact that the puck hit the living [goal horn] out of the water bottle. You could write this exact event into a story and your editor would demand that you take such unrealistic events out of it.

There just isn’t enough money to pay college athletes, chapter infinity.

Michigan State University has signed an agreement with Rocket Mortgage, whereby they’ll be called “MSU Spartans Presented by Rocket Mortgage“. Dan Gilbert, co-founder and chairman of their parent company, Quicken Loans, is a MSU alum.

Ri-[goal horn]-ing-diculous.... and perhaps inevitable. That's big time college sports for ya. Amateur, my Aunt Fanny... as if anyone still needed proof. Let the mocking, followed shortly by the copying, commence.

Oh, and as a U-M fan (Hail To The Victors), I still reserve the right to mock Sparty for non-Rocket Mortgage reasons as well.

Pollen messing with anyone else today?
Not yet. We drove out to Childress Vineyard with the roof down on my car, but it’s probably the last time she’ll go topless for a while. And I didn’t put my contacts in, stayed with glasses.

My neighborhood's facebook group was having a discussion about this place. I'm not much of a pizza gourmet and at $25-30 per pie I don't see myself giving this place a try.
We have been three times already and fallen in love with their pizza. But with my wife and her inlaws diehard New Yorkers that love great pizza, this place has not disappointed. The prices are high but it’s worth it when you take a few bites!

Sounds like you're having fun.
Worst part for me is getting in the eyes with contacts. Like having a log in the eye. And I hate wearing glasses.

My optometrist had me start using these allergy wipes for my eyes. Look like the stridex zit pads I used in junior high. It’s helped a lot. They’re a little pricey but worth it in my opinion. They’re called OCuSoft lid scrub allergy. I get mine at CVS but I’ve seen them at Walgreen and Wal-Mart. $25/box for 30 and you’re supposed to use them daily. I don’t. Just use them when my eyes feel like they need it. Helped with stye’s too. Haven’t had one in 2 years.
