OT: CFL Thread

Man oh man did Montreal suck ass in the second half.

But we won. Somehow.

I almost (completely) broke my wrist at how mad I was the Als d kept letting Saskatchewan get first downs through the ****ing middle all ****ing game.

That's what bugs me with Cavillio. He might be one of the best QB in the CFL history, yet when the big games and pressure situation comes in, he falls flat most of the time. He was completely neutralized in the 2nd half it wasn't pretty.

Out of curiosity, what's the correlation between the Als D being horrible and Calvillo being bad in the second half? Is it also Calvillo's fault they lost 54-51 in the first game of the year?

Calvillo is a QB who is dependent on his line, more so than most QBs in this league, because his mobility isn't very good. In his worst season as an Al, 2007, his line was absolutely atrocious. They gave up the most QB sacks in the league by a large margin.

I mean, Cahoon dropped a relatively easy pass in the second half which would have given them a first down + more momentum.

This game isn't on Calvillo, it's on Montreal's D that was swiss cheese and couldn't stop Saskatchewan from doing anything.

I must say I watched the Als game last week and the O-line didn't do his job properly. AC had no time to throw the ball.

Toronto wins 37-22.

Just an overall very poor team effort. Offense, D & Special Teams all were mediocre at best tonight.

Oh well. Shit happens. Hopefully a little humility will do them good.

Well, AC was hurt. He looked shaky from the get go.

Toronto jumped on that, to their credit.

Esks are that bad, but then again, we barely squeaked out a win against them. Calgary took advantage of Ricky Ray getting injured as well.

Montreal should be 3-4 and not 5-2, but whatever.

I just know the riders will lose to Edmonton (end of august) as I will be in attendance...ugh.

Something tells me the host team will not be in the grey cup this year.... which will make it harder for me to scalp my ticket!
