OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Finally some real fans getting riled up. And seriously, how do you bring a golf ball to the park?

I mean everyone knows real men chuck batteries.

Yeah, Sportsnet East switched to the national broadcast. This is the first Home Opener in seven years that I haven't attended, but last year they were throwing lots of similar objects and there were a bunch of fights in the upper-deck.

Same here, and damn am i regretting not going, what a good home opener to go to this year, where as every other year the Jays have found a way to choke.

* Hehe not being in school has really taken its toll on my writing...

I dunno, I've been pretty drunk in my day, but I think I'd need a 4 inch spike jammed into my frontal lobes to think that throwing shit on the field is a good idea. Bush league stuff.

sweet.

man, that was nice. Sure would be nice to not suck crap for the first month of the season like we have the last couple of years and end our season by May. hopefully with the lower expectations and the almighty CITO EFFECT, these jays can be cured of their chokishness.

and man, is it nice to have young talents like Lind and Snider in there instead of stiffs like Wilkerson, Mench, and Stewart. that's a bit of an upgrade right there.

and oh yeah....

....PLAYOFFS.

and why the **** does leyland always have his hands in his pants?

Went down to the game tonight, probably the most fun I've ever had at a Jays game. Just a great group of people around us.

And yeah, we had no idea why that delay happened, assumed that it was because more and more paper airplanes were being thrown on the field from the upper deck.

I was very encouraged by the hitters tonight, guys hitting early in the game, with RISP, and with two out, great at-bat by Overbay there. Snider and Lind with awesome games, and Doc was unhittable until he hit the 90-pitch mark, and then started to fade badly.

Great ****ing game. 'Bout time this team makes a run for the playoffs.

Hey, can we pin this thread up top?

honestly, we've got nothing to talk about the leafs until draft day.

What really hurts is this years' Jays team will have a solid offense, and so much better than last season yet their pitching depth is so much weaker than last season.
