OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Litsch doesn't look good so far. Nothing is working for him. That being said, they've got a bunch of rinky dink hits.

The Jays really had to score some more runs there with one in and the based jammed with no outs and the heart of the order up to the plate.

Litsch looks like he's settling in. He bounced back nicely after giving up 3 in the first.

The heart of the lineup needs some work. That's pathetic that they couldn't get one run in that situation.

Jesse doesn't seem to have his usual heat. Usually he can hit 92-94 pretty consistently, but he hasn't even touched 90 tonight. That doesn't bode well against this lineup.

yeah, but Jesse especially needs his heat because he doesn't have any great pitches, just a bunch of decent ones.

Think of all the great pitchers who the Jays have let slip away.

Carpenter, Escobar, Quantril (great reliever), Billy Koch (who cares if he slipped afterwards, he was exciting young closer and shouldn't have gone anywhere), hell, even Esteban Loaiza.

I can't cheer for this team because they never hang on to the players worth keeping (other than Halladay). It's extremely frustrating.

Jesse tried a few 90+ 4-seamers there, but one was almost a wild pitch and the other hit the batter.

He's got to get that pitch under control or else he's in trouble.

Quantrill was traded for one of the most promising young pitchers in baseball at the time in Prokopec. While injuries derailed what could have been a promising career, the trade was made with the right idea in mind. Escobar's situation is different as he had been inconsistent for the majority of his career with the Jays. Carpenter had major injury problems up until the point that the team let him go. They put eleven years worth of patience into him, so it's difficult to fault them for allowing him to become a free agent. I have NO clue how you can criticise the team for letting Koch go considering he was finished only a couple seasons later and they got the Rookie of the Year in return for him...

Big inning for Jesse here. Already at 77 pitches with the heart of the order coming up. If he doesn't get through this quickly, it might be all he gets tonight.

Actually a pretty good inning for Jesse there, but Miggy tagged his one mistake for a massive homer.

4-1 Tigers.

Can't believe the Jays aren't hitting the bejeezus out of this Miner guy.

They really let that guy off the hook in the first few innings. He's settled down and pitching pretty well now.

Anyoen else irritated with no PH for Overbay vs a hard throwing lefty with 2 out and 2 on?....I'f im noty mistaken thats why we have Millar and Bautista

And its frusterrating for a game like this to get away getting owned by a Josh Towers clone

Jesse wasnt that terrible this game, he got beat twice by one of the best hitters in baseball, and the Polanco hit in the first was a wierd one.

Brandon Inge must be on roids
