OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

Here's the game log for those 12 appearances.

His first two starts were good.

Then we killed him and started a spiral of 7 terrible outings where suddenly everything went off the rails (including us demolishing him again).

Then it looks like they put him in the pen, where he had two good outings, and then a bad one and that's all she wrote in Minny.

In almost all of the bad ones, it looks like his control was off - more walks than ks.

Then he came to us (today's game not shown) and the walks were a problem in the middle two appearances there, where you could say he got lucky, but overall, including today, in better control, and maybe that's just the secret sauce with him. Keep walks down.

Again, love that he's been fine, results wise, but this guy is probably next on the chopping block if when Agrihetti/Yesavage come back, depending on how cooked Sewald is. Ideally i dont want either of Sewald/SWR pitching for us

Nah, Corbin is pretty much junk based on what I saw. SWR actually looks good.

If you think no k's, and balls hit directly at the fielders is good so be it, but his stuff isnt great and he's probably something btwen the disaster he was in Minny and what appears to be good here. Likely a replacement level or slightly worst P at the MLB level

What do you mean no Ks?

He had 107 in 111 ip last year. 117 in 133 ip the year prior. It’s just this year that he’s been lacking, but improved a bit with us at 5.3 per 9, while 4.9 with Minny. Two prior seasons were 8.6 and 7.9.

Again, I’m not claiming he’s the second coming of Cy Young, but there might be something worthwhile here.

I meant this year, your basing this on the eye test

The eye test suggest he cant k anyone and is getting very lucky with an extremely low babip.

He still appears to be shitty

I mean again, no k's, no swing and miss, unsustainable BABIP.

The results are there, but he doesnt look good. He looks painfully lucky.

If he starts missing some bats i'll get excited, for the time being i expect him to linger around cause they dont have much else as he's shown to be slightly btter than the Lee/VanEyk/Dallas/Estrada guys.
