Signing raddysh sounds as bad to me as running back a treliving d corps quite frankly. Best to just do nothing and pretend the problem doesn't exist.

Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what Treliving does and it seems to work for him. Guy can't stop getting hired.

What's "big money" though? We're not talking about Norris money here. I'd bet than Andersson ends up the highest AAV by a fair bit this offseason. AFP has Andersson's AAV at 9.0 million. It has Raddysh in the 5's, which will be lower than I figure he ends up getting. But if Raddysh gets 7-8 million and isn't this good, but gives you 21 minutes of his previous 2 seasons of work, that isn't closing our window and would be the best RHD we've had here in a long fucking time.

Of course....what if he is just this good and is an actual top 10 defender? He's 8th in xG currently, 10th in P/60...he's been Makar/Fox/Dahlin/Werenski/Hutson impact this year. What's the opportunity cost of passing on that to trade Cowan and stuff for Bowan Byram to be underwater here?
 
I’m super curious to see what Brisebois offers Raddysh given that he cited he wanted to see a bigger sample size.

Personally, I’d take a 7M swing at him

If they dump Mo's contract and replace it with raddysh, I don't think we can complain much as long as the nerds properly vet him.

I'd throw a bit more as a desperation tax but yeah thats the ballpark I'm expecting.
 
And if they get McKenna, they can look at trading Knies for an elite d. As much as their forwards would look awesome, they could probably get a damn good d in a Knies trade.

I mean, we'll see but its hard to be more than a bottom pair NHL defender without the type of puck skills that produce big CHL numbers. Dernferd being pedestrian offensively as a 19 yr old in the OHL probably speaks to a low ceiling.

I listened to some talking heads discuss them and if it were up to them, they'd change the mix of the core since they can't even make the playoffs with them, nevermind win a cup or even a round. Which is usually my gauge for what most gms think. Not that I think they'd trade a seider or anything.
