Married women and women with children describes a HUGE percentage of the female customers at any hockey game ... so ... not exactly a minor concern. Add in students and others who have to lug around more stuff than will fit in what amounts to a clutch. The largest non-plastic bag allowed is 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches ... so, basically the size of a modern smart phone and maybe a slim wallet. Yeah, thanks. Anybody who needs to carry around meds or whatever else (or a freaking book) is out of luck unless they know ahead of time that they need a specific clear plastic bag. Add in that MANY people feel like having whatever the heck they're carrying in their purse/bag in clear plastic so the world can see it is embarrassing or otherwise an invasion.
Look ... once everybody's had a chance to figure this all out, it's probably going to fine over time. But let's not act like it's no big deal just because we're a bunch of dudes who can fit whatever we need in the pockets of our jeans.
